Soft Surroundings is a great company to work for. The Soft Surroundings workplace is pleasant and attractive. A typical day at work included some tasking, such as replenishing stock, but the most important duties were selling clothes, jewelry and accessories to women customers, and ringing up sales transactions on a computerized register.
Overall my experience has been favorable, the items have met my expectations and the customer service has been helpful. However, I just purchased several items from Soft Surroundings and paid an extra $7.95 for 2nd day delivery for a total of $27.90 shipping (as opposed to the 2 to 4 days for $19.95). The shipping was for $244.80 in merchandise. Rating Details. Exorbitant charges to return one item of less then one pound piece of clothing for refund. My one item total charge was $159.32 with shipping and tax. Soft Surroundings deducted shipping $9.95 and return shipping of $9.95 making it a total of $19.90 deducted from my refund. Soft Surroundings carried a variety of items to help women feel confident about who they are at any age. From apparel to beauty - reminding Women to take time to nurture themselves each and everyday.
